For Children

I always loved to draw. We didn’t have special art classes in public elementary school, but I would make pictures for my friends there and realized as I grew older that I had a knack for drawing. I also liked to write stories in school when I had the chance, and I liked to read or tell them to anyone at school or in the family who would listen.

Since you can’t see inside these books, I’ve added illustrations for you to look at. I spend a lot of time on my illustrations just as I do with what’s called my fine art: paintings, drawings, collages, etc. that have nothing to do with stories. Both fine art and illustrations for books and poems are important to me, and I do a lot of photography, sketching and sometimes, preliminary painting for both fine art painting and for illustrations.
